Hi Bhatt:
Of course you can insert a calendar (Arshad, you are having a really bad day today!!). Arshad works for Microsoft, he is supposed to know that Word has a Calendar template as one of its templates!!
However, the Word template is useless: it's just a table: you need to type everything yourself.
On the other hand, Excel offers a Calendar template. You can make one of those, then copy the month you want and paste it into the document. That template makes 12 months of calendars in a single shot.
Or: I made this one, which gives you 'next' month each time you open it: http://www.john.mcghie.name/Calendar2.xlsx
In each case, you can change the formatting of the calendar to suit yourself, provided that you do not change the number formatting of the cells containing the dates.
One final thought: don't push your luck in Word: it does not have Publisher's abilities, and it will start crashing on you if you push it too hard. Have a look at Apple's Pages, which came free with your Mac. That does a very nice job of this kind of thing.
Hope this helps
Keep up with important dates and appointments with a Microsoft Word calendar you create yourself using free templates.
Grandparents and out-of-town relatives love receiving hand-made calendars with birth dates and anniversaries highlighted.
Don’t forget to include photos of family members, pets, children’s school photos, or vacation snapshots!
How to create a Microsoft Word calendar
Note: Are you a user of a previous version? You can still use the Calendar Wizard if you prefer.
What you need to complete this tutorial:
We start with a basic calendar, then in part two, I’ll show you how to personalize it by adding color and photos.
Open Microsoft Word 2007 or 2010, then follow these steps:
You now have a basic document that is ready to print, or if you want something fancier, add photos and color to your Word calendar.
Printing and binding your Microsoft Word calendar
To print your calendar, press Ctrl+P. If you own a duplex printer, set it to only print on one side of the page.
Make sure to use a heavy paper (at least 32 lb.) so your calendar is more durable.
If you plan to use your calendar throughout the year or you personalized one for a gift, consider getting it professionally bound. A spiral coil binding is very durable and only costs a few dollars at your local print shop. This type of binding comes in a variety of colors and allows you to flip the pages on your calendar or lay it open flat.
Are you short on time? Most print shops allow you to email a Microsoft Word document to them. They will print and bind the document, then you can pick it up when it is finished.
Do you want something fancier than basic black?

Making a calendar like this while you're online is quick and easy. Choose one of our calendar templates, and open it in an Office Online program to make it yours (some calendars are for editing in Word for the web, some in Excel Online, and others work in PowerPoint for the web).
Tip: If you're already in Word for the web, see all the calendar templates by going to File > New, and then below the template images click More on Office.com.
You'll be on the Templates for Word page. In the list of categories, click Calendars. As you work on the calendar, you'll probably want to Rename a file in it. If it includes pictures, you can swap out the placeholder pictures with pictures that work for you. Delete the pictures you don't want, and then insert pictures from your computer or add clip art to your file. Share your calendarWhen you're finished, print it out or share it online. You can do this with the calendar still open in Word for the web. No need to save it first (that's already done for you). Print itTo print it, press Ctrl+P, and wait for the Print dialog.
Note: If you don't see a Print dialog box, click the link for opening a PDF version of your calendar. From there, use the PDF program's Print command.
Share itTo share it online, send a link: Insert Calendar In Word Mac
Tip: If you have a blog or website, you can embed a view of your calendar there.
